> Every way to earn as a Kick streamer, with numbers from Kick's own help center: subs, gifted subs, KICKs, the Kick Partner Program, tips and sponsors.

Source: https://kickbot.com/guides/money/make-money-on-kick

Kick streamers earn money from subscriptions, gifted subs and KICKs (Kick's paid gifts), and larger channels also earn from the Kick Partner Program, which pays per stream based on viewers. Kick keeps 5% of subs and KICKs and you keep 95% ([Understanding Kick's revenue split](https://help.kick.com/en/articles/15159722-understanding-kick-s-revenue-split)). Outside Kick, streamers add tips, sponsorships and affiliate links.

All Kick numbers below come from Kick's help center and were checked in October 2026. Kick changes its programs from time to time, so follow the links for the current rules.

## Subscriptions

A Kick sub costs a flat $5 USD a month in every country Kick supports. You receive $4.75 (95%), and $0.25 (5%) is a processing fee ([Understanding Kick's revenue split](https://help.kick.com/en/articles/15159722-understanding-kick-s-revenue-split), [How Kick subscriptions work for viewers](https://help.kick.com/en/articles/15159735-how-kick-subscriptions-work-for-viewers)).

To turn on subs, you need to stream at least 5 hours in total. The hours add up over many streams. When you reach them, an **Enable Subscriptions** button shows in your Streamer Dashboard. Your progress is in the **Achievements** section ([How to become a Kick Partner](https://help.kick.com/en/articles/12273402-how-to-become-a-kick-partner-and-how-kick-streaming-works)).

> **Note:** Kick's help pages use the names "Affiliate" and "Partner" for this first step in different articles. The requirement is the same: 5 hours of streaming. The Kick Partner Program (KPP) below is a different, larger program.

Give subs a reason: sub-only emotes, a sub badge, or sub-only chat for some moments. Kick lets you add up to 24 subscriber-only emotes ([How to build a live streaming audience on Kick](https://help.kick.com/en/articles/12273234-how-to-build-a-live-streaming-audience-on-kick-com-tips-to-grow-engage)).

## Gifted subs

Viewers can buy subs for other viewers, either for one person or at random for the community. One gift can be up to 500 subs. You get the same 95% split as for a normal sub. Gifted subs do not renew automatically ([How to gift a subscription on Kick](https://help.kick.com/en/articles/15064143-how-to-gift-a-subscription-on-kick)).

Kick also has a global gift sub leaderboard. It resets every hour, and the top channel gets 30 minutes on the Kick homepage carousel ([Global gift subs leaderboard](https://help.kick.com/en/articles/17304069-global-gift-subs-leaderboard)).

## KICKs

KICKs are Kick's virtual gifts. Viewers buy them on Kick and send them in your chat. A message sent with KICKs is pinned in chat, and more KICKs keep it pinned for longer ([Guide to KICKs](https://help.kick.com/en/articles/12134119-guide-to-kicks)). You receive 95% of the value ([Understanding Kick's revenue split](https://help.kick.com/en/articles/15159722-understanding-kick-s-revenue-split)).

To receive KICKs, you need Streamer status in your Achievements and a finished Stripe Connect setup. Kick does not publish a fixed dollar value per KICK on its help pages.

> **Caution:** Kick's [KICKs Usage Policy](https://kick.com/kicks-usage-policy) has rules you must follow. You must not call KICKs "donations", and you must not offer items or perks (such as merch, mod roles or shout-outs) in exchange for KICKs. Giveaways where people use KICKs to enter are not allowed.

Thank KICKs senders by name. A [chat alert](https://kickbot.com/docs/alerts/chat-alerts) or an on-screen [KICKs alert](https://kickbot.com/docs/alerts/on-screen-alerts) makes sure nobody is missed.

## The Kick Partner Program (KPP)

The Kick Partner Program pays you for streaming, based on the viewers who watch. Kick says KPP rates use a rolling window of your recent streams, your average audience and content factors such as language and region ([How we calculate KPP rates](https://help.kick.com/en/articles/17225591-how-we-calculate-kpp-rates)). You keep your sub income on top. For the requirements and how to apply, see [Kick Partner Program requirements](https://kickbot.com/guides/money/kick-partner-program).

At the time of writing, the requirements to apply are ([How to join the Kick Partner Program](https://help.kick.com/en/articles/8894103-how-to-join-the-kick-partner-program)):

- A verified Kick channel, with social links and a completed About section.
- An average of 75 concurrent viewers in the past 30 days.
- 30 hours streamed in the past 30 days.
- 25 active subscriptions in the past 30 days.
- 250 unique chatters in the past 30 days.
- 3 VODs in the past 30 days.
- At least 250 followers.

Kick says the numbers can change, and that meeting them makes you eligible to apply but does not guarantee entry. You apply by email from the address on your Kick account.

Some rules to know ([Kick Partner Program page](https://streamer.kick.com/partner), [Multistreaming on the KPP](https://help.kick.com/en/articles/11091744-multistreaming-on-the-kick-partner-program)):

- Streams in the Just Sleeping and gambling categories are not paid.
- If you turn on multistreaming, your KPP pay can drop by 50%.
- Kick reverses payouts that came from botted engagement ([How we assess KPP eligibility](https://help.kick.com/en/articles/17225595-how-we-assess-kpp-eligibility)).

## Ads

Kick shows ads on streams, but at the time of writing ads do not pay creators directly. Kick says creators in the Partner Program are paid through the KPP instead. You cannot turn ads off, but you can delay a break or start it early ([Advertising on Kick for creators](https://help.kick.com/en/articles/15300424-advertising-on-kick-for-creators)).

## Kick Bounties

Kick Bounties are challenges at bounties.kick.com. Rewards are gifted subs or Kick Shop gift cards ([Guide to Kick Bounties](https://help.kick.com/en/articles/11744042-guide-to-kick-bounties)). They are small, but they are an extra source of subs.

## Tips and donations

Tips are money that viewers send you directly, outside of Kick's subs and KICKs. Tips work from your first stream, because they do not depend on Kick's requirements, and a viewer can send any amount once. Most tip services also read the message aloud or show it on stream, which makes tipping part of the show.

You need an outside service for this, for example a tip page from KickBot, Streamlabs or a PayPal link. The fixed fee per payment matters most on small tips:

- **KickBot** keeps 6%, and Stripe keeps 2.9% + $0.30. A $2 tip leaves you $1.52, and a $10 tip $8.81. KickBot pays the $15 dispute fee on chargebacks, you can reject a tip before the viewer pays, and viewers never see your name or email.
- **PayPal Checkout** in the US costs 3.49% + $0.49 per payment, plus 1.50% for viewers in other countries ([PayPal fees](https://www.paypal.com/us/business/paypal-business-fees)). A $2 tip leaves you $1.44, and a $10 tip $9.16. You pay PayPal's dispute fees.

The full comparison and setup are in [how to accept tips on Kick](https://kickbot.com/guides/money/accept-tips-on-kick).

## Sponsors and affiliate links

Brands pay streamers to show or talk about products. Kick allows this with clear disclosure ([Community guidelines](https://kick.com/community-guidelines)):

- Use Kick's **Branded Content** tool for paid partnerships.
- Show it on screen (for example #Ad or #Sponsored in the title) and say it at the start of the sponsored part.
- Use plain words such as "Paid Promotion", not "Partner" or "Collab".
- Disclose affiliate links clearly.

Small channels often start with affiliate links (a code or link that pays you a share of each sale) for gear they already use. Put them in a `!setup` or `!gear` command, and say they are affiliate links.

## Getting paid

Kick pays subs, KICKs and KPP through Stripe to your bank account. Non-verified streamers are paid monthly, and verified streamers can pick weekly or monthly. The details, timings and tax forms are in [how Kick payouts work](https://kickbot.com/guides/money/kick-payouts).

## A realistic order

1. **Stream your first 5 hours** and turn on subs.
2. **Set up a tip page** so viewers can support you before you have many subs. With KickBot, [create your account](https://kickbot.com/docs/getting-started/create-your-account) and connect Stripe in Tipping.
3. **Finish Stripe setup** on Kick so you can receive KICKs.
4. **Grow toward verification and the KPP** with a steady schedule. See [how to grow on Kick](https://kickbot.com/guides/grow/grow-on-kick).
5. **Add sponsors** when brands contact you, and disclose every deal.

## FAQ

**How much does Kick pay per sub?**

A Kick sub costs $5 a month. You get $4.75 (95%), and $0.25 (5%) goes to processing. Gifted subs pay the same.

**How many followers do you need to make money on Kick?**

For subs, Kick's help center only lists 5 hours of streaming in total. The Kick Partner Program needs at least 250 followers, plus viewer, chatter, sub and hour requirements.

**Does Kick pay you for views?**

Yes, through the Kick Partner Program. KPP pays per stream based on your audience. Channels that are not in the KPP earn from subs, KICKs and outside income such as tips.

**Can I use a tip link on Kick?**

Many Kick streamers put a tip link in their channel panels or in a `!tip` command. Kick's help center does not have a page about outside tip links at the time of writing. Kick says panels can be used for your socials, events and other information ([Kick channel panels](https://help.kick.com/en/articles/7109352-how-to-add-or-remove-kick-channel-panels)). Do not call KICKs donations, because Kick's KICKs policy does not allow that.
