To clip on Kick, sign in, open a live stream or a VOD, and click the **Clip** icon in the player or press **C** on your keyboard. Pick the part you want (10 to 180 seconds), type a title and click **Publish**. Many channels also have a `!clip` chat command: type `!clip` in chat and a bot saves the last seconds of the stream and posts the link.

The Kick details here come from Kick's help article [How to create clips on Kick](https://help.kick.com/en/articles/7120566-how-to-create-clips-on-kick), checked in October 2026.

## Make a clip with Kick's Clip button

1. Sign in to Kick. Kick says any logged-in viewer can make clips.
2. Open the live stream, or a VOD on the channel's Videos tab. Kick lets you clip VODs too.
3. Click the **Clip** icon in the video player, or press **C**. The **Create clip** window opens.
4. Drag the slider handles to pick the moment you want. A clip is 10 to 180 seconds long.
5. Type a title that says what happens.
6. Click **Publish**.
7. Pick what to do next: **Download** the clip, send it to the streamer's **Chat** (not for VOD clips), or copy the **Clip Link** to share it.

Things to know:

- **There is a 60-second wait** after a clip before you can make the next one.
- **You cannot clip** if you are banned from the channel's chat.
- **The streamer can turn clipping off** for their channel. If the Clip icon is missing or does not work, that may be the reason ([Clips not saving or clip errors](https://help.kick.com/en/articles/14994255-clips-not-saving-or-clip-errors-on-kick)).
- **Only the channel owner can delete clips** from their channel.

## Make a clip with the !clip command

Some streamers turn on a clip command in their chat bot. It is faster than the button: you type one word and keep watching.

On channels that use KickBot:

1. Type `!clip` in chat. KickBot saves the last part of the stream, 30 seconds by default.
2. For a longer or shorter clip, add a number of seconds, for example `!clip 60`. The streamer sets the longest clip allowed.
3. KickBot replies in chat with a link to the clip, for example `@yourname https://kickbot.com/clip/abc123`.

The streamer decides who can use `!clip`. It can be everyone, or only subs, VIPs or mods. If nothing happens, you may not have the right role, or the command may be off.

## Tips for good clips

- **Clip right after the moment.** A `!clip` command saves the seconds *before* you type, so do not wait.
- **Keep it short.** The best clips are often 15 to 30 seconds.
- **Give it a clear title** so people know what happens.
- **Ask before you post someone's clip on other sites.** Streamers like it when you share clips, but some have rules about reposting.
