Clips API

Use these actions to look up and download Kick clips.

Each action is a REST endpoint under https://kickbot.com/api/v1 and an MCP tool with the same name. The MCP area name is clips. Use it to load only this area: https://kickbot.com/api/v1/mcp?areas=clips.

A team member needs one of these permissions in Manage Team: Clip downloader or Manage clips. Some actions need a specific one (the action says so). Owners and admins have every permission. Write actions also need a read and write key or connection. See Permissions and security.

How the feature works in the dashboard: Clip downloader, Clip pages.

List Kick clip downloads. List the Kick clips you asked KickBot to download, newest first, with their status (queued, in progress, complete, failed) and the download_url when complete. Call it again to check the status of a new download.

offset (query)integerNoNumber of items to skip (default 0).

Look up a Kick clip. Look up a clip on Kick (title, channel, length, views, thumbnail) before downloading it. Any public Kick clip works, not only clips of your channel.

GET /api/v1/clips/kick

This has an effect outside your settings (for example on your live stream).

clip (query)stringYesThe Kick clip URL (https://kick.com/<channel>/clips/<clip id>) or only the clip id (for example clip_01HX…).

Download a Kick clip. Start downloading a Kick clip as an MP4. KickBot looks the clip up on Kick itself, so send only its URL or id. The download usually takes under a minute; check list_clip_downloads for the status and download_url.
