Multistream to Kick and Twitch
Yes, you can stream on Kick and Twitch (or YouTube) at the same time. Kick says you can stream to any platform. If you are in the Kick Partner Program, you must turn on the Multistreaming toggle when you also stream to another long-form platform such as Twitch or YouTube, and your Partner payout is 50% lower for that stream (Kick help center). Twitch also allows simulcasting on other live services.
This guide covers the rules first, then four ways to send one stream to several platforms, and what to check before you go live.
Kick’s multistreaming rules
Section titled “Kick’s multistreaming rules”Kick’s rules depend on whether you are in the Kick Partner Program (KPP):
| You are | Stream to Twitch, YouTube or another long-form platform | Stream to a vertical or short-form platform |
|---|---|---|
| Not in the Partner Program | Allowed. Kick’s help center lists no extra steps. | Allowed |
| In the Partner Program | Allowed. Turn on the Multistreaming toggle. Your payout is 50% lower for that session. | Allowed. No toggle needed for platforms such as YouTube Shorts, TikTok Live or Instagram Live. |
How to turn on multistreaming as a Kick Partner:
- In the dashboard. The Multistreaming toggle is under the Partner Income toggle in your Kick dashboard. Kick says to turn it on after you start your stream.
- In chat. Type
/multi onin your Kick chat. Type/multi offto turn it off.
Only the channel owner can change the Multistreaming and Partner toggles. Your moderators cannot (How to moderate your Kick chat).
The 50% reduction is for the duration of the multistreaming session only. The source for this section is Kick’s article Multistreaming on the Kick Partner Program (checked October 24, 2026). Rules change, so read it again before you start.
Twitch and YouTube rules
Section titled “Twitch and YouTube rules”In October 2023, Twitch announced: “As of today, you can now simulcast on any live streaming service” (Twitch blog). Twitch has conditions in its simulcasting guidelines. Read Twitch’s current rules in the Twitch help center before you multistream.
YouTube and other platforms have their own terms. Check each platform you stream to. For a side-by-side look at Kick and Twitch, see Kick vs Twitch.
Ways to multistream
Section titled “Ways to multistream”There are two kinds of tools:
- Direct from your computer. Your streaming app sends a full stream to each platform. You need upload speed for all of them together.
- Through a cloud service. Your app sends one stream to the service, and the service sends it on to each platform. You need upload speed for one stream.
| Tool | Kind | Cost (October 2026) | How it connects to Kick |
|---|---|---|---|
| OBS Studio with the Aitum Multistream plugin | Direct | Free | Kick stream key |
| Meld Studio | Direct, or cloud with Meld Multi | Free. Meld Multi is a free beta. | Kick login |
| Streamlabs Desktop | Direct | Multistream is part of Streamlabs Ultra (paid). Dual Output is free for one horizontal and one vertical platform. | Kick login |
| Restream | Cloud | Free plan: 2 channels at once, with Restream branding | Kick login |

OBS Studio with Aitum Multistream
Section titled “OBS Studio with Aitum Multistream”OBS Studio sends one stream by itself. The free Aitum Multistream plugin adds more outputs. It needs OBS Studio 30.0.0 or later and runs on Windows, macOS and Linux.
- Set up your main platform in OBS as usual, in Settings > Stream. For example, Twitch.
- Install Aitum Multistream from its page on the OBS forum, then restart OBS.
- Open the Aitum Multistream dock, open its settings and choose Main Outputs.
- Click Add Output and choose Kick. The Kick server is already filled in.
- Paste your Kick stream key in Kick Stream Key and save the output. To find the key, see Find your Kick stream key.
- Click Start Streaming in OBS for the main platform, then start the Kick output in the Aitum Multistream dock.
If the Kick output uses the main encoder, the plugin cannot start it before the main stream is live. You can do it the other way around too: Kick in OBS’s own stream settings, and Twitch as the extra output.
Meld Studio
Section titled “Meld Studio”Meld Studio can stream to Kick, Twitch, YouTube, X, TikTok and Facebook at the same time. Add each platform in Settings > General > Streaming Outputs, or in the Outputs panel. Kick connects with a login, so you do not need the stream key. Meld can start and stop each output on its own, so you can add a platform while you are live.
Meld also has Meld Multi, a free cloud service in beta. Meld Studio sends one stream to Meld Multi, and it sends the stream on to Kick and your other platforms. The full Meld setup is in Use Meld Studio with Kick.
Streamlabs Desktop
Section titled “Streamlabs Desktop”Streamlabs says that Multistream is an Ultra feature, and that it can send your stream to Kick and platforms such as Twitch or YouTube. Without Ultra, Dual Output can go live on one horizontal and one vertical platform at the same time (Streamlabs). For example, a horizontal stream on Kick and a vertical stream on TikTok. See Use Streamlabs with Kick.
Restream
Section titled “Restream”Restream is a cloud service. Connect Kick in Restream with Channels > Add New > Kick, then log in to Kick (Restream help). Then point OBS or another app at Restream instead of Kick.
Settings for Kick and Twitch together
Section titled “Settings for Kick and Twitch together”When one encoder feeds both platforms, the stream must fit inside the limits of both. Kick accepts H.264 only, with constant bitrate (CBR), up to 8,000 kbps, 1920x1080 and 60 fps, and a keyframe interval of 2 seconds (How to stream on Kick.com). Twitch publishes its own limits in its Broadcasting Guidelines. Use the lower limit of the two.
If you stream direct to two platforms at 6,000 kbps each, you need upload speed for 12,000 kbps plus some room to spare. If your upload is not enough, use a cloud service or lower the bitrate. More about Kick settings: Best OBS settings for Kick.
Before you go live
Section titled “Before you go live”- Set your title and category on Kick. Kick says your stream may not start correctly without them.
- If you are a Kick Partner and stream to Twitch or YouTube, start the stream and turn on Multistreaming (or type
/multi on). - Check that every platform shows your stream, and open each chat.
- When you stop multistreaming but stay live on Kick, turn the toggle off with
/multi off.
Chat on several platforms
Section titled “Chat on several platforms”Each platform has its own chat. To read them in one place, some tools combine them:
- Meld Studio’s Stream Chat shows Kick, Twitch, YouTube and TikTok, and you can reply on Kick, Twitch and YouTube (Meld).
- Restream’s chat can show Kick messages and you can reply (Restream help).
- Streamlabs Multichat can read Kick chat but cannot post to it (Streamlabs).
How KickBot fits in
Section titled “How KickBot fits in”KickBot works only with Kick. When you multistream:
- The chat bot (commands, timed messages, filters,
!clip, chat alerts) runs in your Kick chat only. Twitch and YouTube chat need their own bot. See Best Kick chat bots. - Overlays such as alerts, the chat overlay and TTS are part of your video. Viewers on every platform see and hear them, but they only react to Kick events: Kick follows, subs, gifted subs, KICKs, raids and Kick chat.
- KickBot tips come from your KickBot tip page, so a viewer on any platform can use the link. See Accept tips on Kick.
Some platforms have rules about showing chat or activity from other services on stream. Check them before you show a Kick chat overlay on Twitch or YouTube.
Is multistreaming allowed on Kick?
Yes. Kick says you can stream to any platform. Kick Partners must turn on the Multistreaming toggle when they also stream to a long-form platform such as Twitch or YouTube.
Do I lose money if I multistream as a Kick Partner?
Yes. With the Multistreaming toggle on, Kick reduces your Partner payout by 50% for that session. Vertical and short-form platforms such as TikTok Live do not need the toggle.
Can I multistream from OBS for free?
Yes. Install the free Aitum Multistream plugin for OBS Studio, or use Meld Studio, which has multistreaming built in. You need enough upload speed for every stream you send.
Does KickBot work on Twitch?
No. KickBot works with Kick only. Your KickBot overlays still show to all viewers when you multistream, because they are part of your video.
