Go live on Kick from your browser (Web Go Live)

Kick details checked on October 24, 2026

Kick has a browser studio called Web Go Live (Kick Studio). It lets you stream from the Kick website without OBS or any other software. Open your Kick Creator Dashboard, click Go Live, allow your camera and microphone, set a title and category, and click Go Live again. It has scenes, a webcam and screen share, and built-in chat box and alert widgets (Kick help center).

This guide follows Kick’s own article (checked October 24, 2026), and explains when the browser studio is a good choice and how KickBot works with it.

Kick lists three ways to go live: streaming software, Web Go Live, and the KICK - Go Live phone app. See How to stream on Kick for all of them, and How to stream on Kick from your phone for the app.

  1. Open your Kick Creator Dashboard on a computer.
  2. Click Go Live. The first time, Kick shows a short onboarding before the studio opens.
  3. When your browser asks, click Allow for the camera and Allow for the microphone. Kick needs both before you can start.
  4. Click the pencil icon at the bottom and set your Stream Title, Stream Category, tags, Stream Language and, if it applies, 18+ Mature Audience Only.
  5. Pick a scene and add your widgets (see below).
  6. Check your microphone with the microphone icon at the bottom.
  7. Click Go Live at the bottom of the screen.

You can switch between scenes while you are live. Kick includes:

  • Scene + Widget: your camera with on-screen widgets.
  • Starting Soon: a screen to show before you start.
  • Back Soon: a screen to show while you are away.
  • Custom Preset: your own layout, saved for future streams.

To add a scene, click the + icon at the top of the scenes area. You can start from Full Screen Camera, Side by Side Cameras, 3 Column Cameras, Quad Cameras or Screenshare.

Add widgets from the left side of the studio. Drag them to move them and resize them to fit your layout. Kick lists these widgets:

WidgetWhat it shows
CameraA webcam or capture card
ImageA JPG, PNG or GIF from your computer
VideoA video
ScreenA desktop or window screen share
Chat BoxYour Kick chat on stream
AlertsFollows, subscriptions, gifted subscriptions and KICKs

Hover over a widget to see its controls. Most widgets can be shown or hidden, brought to the front, sent to the back and deleted. The Chat Box and Alerts widgets can snap to the edges of the screen, and you can lock the position of the Chat Box. On the Alerts widget, you choose which alert types show.

Click the microphone icon at the bottom of the scene to:

  • Pick your microphone.
  • Pick your speaker or audio output.
  • Change the audio levels.
  • Show or hide the audio panel.

Click the microphone icon to turn the sound source on or off.

KickBot’s chat bot works the same with Web Go Live as with OBS, because it runs on KickBot’s servers and posts in your Kick chat:

KickBot must be a moderator in your channel. See Add KickBot as a moderator.

KickBot’s on-screen overlays, such as TTS, the widget library alerts and tip alerts, are web pages that you add as a browser source in OBS, Streamlabs Desktop or Meld. Kick’s article does not list a web page or browser widget for Web Go Live, so you cannot add these overlays there the same way. If you want TTS or KickBot alerts on stream, use a streaming app. See Add a browser source.

The first two answers come from Kick’s article.

You get an error when you click Go Live. Set your stream title, category, language and rating with the pencil icon, then try again.

Your stream has no sound. Check that you allowed Kick to use your microphone and desktop audio sources in your browser.

The camera does not show. Your browser must allow camera access for Kick. If you clicked Block by mistake, allow the camera for kick.com in your browser’s site settings and reload the page.
