Use Streamlabs with Kick

Kick details checked on October 24, 2026

Streamlabs Desktop works with Kick. Open Settings > Stream, click Connect next to Kick, and sign in to Kick in your browser. After that, you go live with the Go Live button and you do not need to copy a stream key. You can add any Kick overlay, including KickBot widgets, as a Browser Source.

This guide covers the setup from Kick’s and Streamlabs’ own guides, the things that work differently with Kick, and how to use Streamlabs and KickBot together.

These steps come from Kick’s guide How to stream on Kick.com and the Streamlabs guide How to live stream to Kick using Streamlabs Desktop.

  1. Download Streamlabs Desktop from streamlabs.com and install it. It is free and built on OBS technology.
  2. Open it and follow the first-run steps.
  3. Open Settings and go to the Stream tab.
  4. Click Connect next to Kick.
  5. Sign in to Kick in the browser window and allow the permissions. Go back to Streamlabs Desktop.

A Streamlabs ID is optional. It gives you one login for other Streamlabs tools.

If the Connect button does not work for you, you can still use Kick like any custom server. Copy the server URL and stream key from your Kick Creator Dashboard and paste them into the custom stream settings. See Find your Kick stream key.

  1. Click Go Live.
  2. Enter a title and make sure Kick is turned on.
  3. Click Confirm & Go Live.

At the time of writing (October 2026), both Kick and Streamlabs say you also need to set the title on Kick by hand after you go live. Do it in your Kick Creator Dashboard with Edit Stream Info, and check the category there too.

Kick’s limits are the same for every streaming app, so Streamlabs Desktop needs the same settings as OBS:

  • H.264 encoder, CBR rate control.
  • Up to 8,000 kbps, 1920x1080 and 60 fps.
  • Keyframe interval of 2 seconds.
  • Stereo audio at 48 kHz or less.

The values for each encoder are in Best OBS settings for Kick. The names of the settings in Streamlabs Desktop are close to the names in OBS.

Streamlabs says its Multistream feature can send your stream to Kick and other platforms, such as Twitch or YouTube, at the same time. Multistream is a Streamlabs Ultra (paid) feature (Streamlabs Multistream). Streamlabs also says Kick works with Dual Output, so you can make a horizontal and a vertical layout in the same editor. Dual Output is free for one horizontal and one vertical platform.

Before you multistream, read Kick’s rules. If you are in the Kick Partner Program:

  • Turn on the Multistreaming toggle in your Kick dashboard, or type /multi on in your chat, when you stream to another long-form platform such as Twitch or YouTube.
  • You do not need the toggle for short-form or vertical platforms, such as TikTok Live or Instagram Live.
  • While the toggle is on, your Partner payout is 50% of the usual amount.

Streamlabs says it supports these tools for Kick streams: an alert box for follows and tips, a chat box widget, Cloudbot for chat moderation, and a chat feed in Streamlabs Desktop that combines Kick with your other platforms. Check the current list in the Streamlabs guide linked above, because it changes.

Add KickBot overlays in Streamlabs Desktop

Section titled “Add KickBot overlays in Streamlabs Desktop”

You can use KickBot widgets and Streamlabs widgets at the same time. KickBot adds Kick-specific overlays: gifted sub and KICKs alerts with minimums, raid alerts, TTS with 3,000+ voices, and the chat overlay.

  1. In KickBot, copy the overlay URL:
  2. In Streamlabs Desktop, click + in the Sources panel and choose Browser Source.
  3. Name the source and add it.
  4. Paste the URL and set the width and height. Chat and alert widgets show their size in KickBot (for example 800 x 600).
  5. For alerts and TTS, check that the sound reaches the stream. Play a test and watch the mixer. If your version has an option to control the page audio in the mixer, turn it on.

More detail: Add a browser source, Chat overlay, On-screen alerts and Set up TTS.

Streamlabs lists Cloudbot for chat moderation on Kick. KickBot is a chat bot made only for Kick. You can use one, or both for different jobs. If you use two bots, give each command to only one bot, so viewers do not get two answers. KickBot adds Kick-specific features such as !clip for Kick clips, !followage, chat alerts for KICKs and gifted subs, and TTS. See Set up a chat bot on Kick.

Streamlabs Mobile can stream to Kick with Custom RTMP and your stream key. Kick says you must set the title and category on the Kick website first, and that chat integration does not work in the Streamlabs mobile app for Kick (Kick help center). See How to stream on Kick from your phone.

Streamlabs will not connect to Kick. Update Streamlabs Desktop to the latest version and restart it. Kick says old versions can stop working when Kick updates its servers. Check your firewall and antivirus (Kick help center).

My title is wrong on Kick. Set it in your Kick Creator Dashboard after you go live.

A KickBot overlay is blank. Right-click the source, open Properties, and refresh the page. Check that you pasted the full URL.

Does Streamlabs work with Kick?

Yes. Streamlabs Desktop has a Kick connection in Settings > Stream. Click Connect next to Kick and sign in.

Do I need a stream key for Streamlabs and Kick?

No, if you use the Connect button. You need the stream key only if you set Kick up as a custom server, or in Streamlabs Mobile.

Can I use KickBot with Streamlabs?

Yes. KickBot overlays are browser sources, and Streamlabs Desktop supports browser sources. The chat bot features run on KickBot’s servers and do not need any streaming app.
