Kick streaming tools, a complete list

Kick details checked on October 24, 2026

A Kick streamer needs tools for seven jobs: an app to send the stream, a chat bot, overlays and alerts, TTS, clip and VOD tools, a way to accept money, and stats. Kick itself covers part of this: Web Go Live in the browser, the KICK - Go Live phone app, mod tools, clips and analytics. Many streamers add free tools such as OBS Studio and a Kick chat bot for the rest. KickBot covers every job except sending the stream, in one dashboard: the chat bot, overlays and alerts, TTS, clip and VOD tools, tips and basic stats.

This page lists the main Kick tools for each job, with facts from each tool’s own website or Kick’s help center (checked October 24, 2026). KickBot is our product, so read the KickBot parts with that in mind. Prices and features change, so check each site before you decide.

KickBot is made only for Kick, and it runs in the cloud, so it works while your PC is off. One account gives you:

  • A chat bot with commands, timed messages, filters and !clip.
  • Free overlays and alerts for follows, subs, gifted subs, KICKs and raids.
  • TTS with 4 free voices, more than 3,000 with Premium, and voice cloning.
  • A clip downloader, a VOD downloader and a VOD editor for Kick.
  • A tip page where KickBot pays the dispute fees on chargebacks and you approve tips before viewers pay.

You still need an app to send the stream, such as OBS Studio. To start, create your KickBot account.

This is the app that sends your video to Kick. Kick lists OBS, XSplit, Streamlabs Desktop and MELD as supported software (How to stream on Kick.com).

How to choose:

  • OBS Studio is free and flexible. It has many plugins, such as Aitum Multistream for streaming to several platforms.
  • Streamlabs Desktop is built on OBS technology and adds Streamlabs alerts, widgets and a Kick login.
  • Meld Studio has a Kick login, built-in widgets and a multi-platform chat panel, and it streams to several platforms at once for free.
  • Web Go Live needs no install. It is good for webcam and screen share streams. Kick’s help center lists no browser source, so you cannot add custom overlays the usual way.
  • The KICK - Go Live app is for IRL and phone streams. Any Kick account can use it (Kick help center).

Kick’s limits are the same for every app: H.264 only, constant bitrate, up to 8,000 kbps, and up to 60 fps. For a first stream, see How to stream on Kick.

Kick has its own mod tools: moderators can time out and ban, delete messages, and turn on slow mode, follower-only, sub-only and emote-only chat (How to moderate your Kick chat). Kick’s help center does not describe custom commands or timed messages. A chat bot adds those, plus filters, chat alerts and extras such as TTS and clips.

The main bots for Kick are KickBot, Kicklet, Botrix, Streamlabs Cloudbot, StreamElements and Fossabot, and desktop apps such as Streamer.bot connect to Kick too. We compare them, with prices and sources, in Best Kick chat bots compared. To set one up, see Set up a chat bot on Kick.

Overlays are web pages that you add to your streaming app as a browser source: chat on screen, alerts, goals, counts and more.

  • KickBot widget library. Free official widgets for chat, follow, sub, gifted sub, KICKs and raid alerts, follower and sub goals, viewer and follower counts, plus community widgets. See Widget library.
  • Streamlabs. Streamlabs lists an alert box for follows and tips, and a chat box widget for Kick (Streamlabs).
  • Meld Studio widgets. Chat and activity widgets inside Meld that support Kick. Meld says the events differ per platform (Meld widgets).
  • Web Go Live. Kick’s browser studio has a Chat Box and an Alerts widget for follows, subs, gifted subs and KICKs. They work only in Web Go Live (Kick help center).
  • Kick chat as an OBS dock. To read chat inside OBS (not on stream), Kick explains how to add the popout chat as a custom browser dock. You cannot log in or send messages from that dock (Kick help center).

Guides: Add Kick chat to OBS, Set up Kick alerts in OBS, Custom sounds and images for Kick alerts and Sub goal and follower goal widgets.

TTS reads viewer messages out loud on stream. Kick’s help center does not describe a built-in TTS feature, so streamers add it with a bot or a tip tool. With KickBot, viewers use a chat command for a voice (for example !brian), and you can pick from 3,000+ voices, clone voices and read chat automatically. The TTS plays through a browser source in your streaming app.

See How to set up TTS on Kick and Set up TTS.

Kick’s own clip tool makes clips of 10 to 180 seconds from a stream or VOD, with the Clip icon or the C key. All clips can be downloaded as MP4 when you view them (How to create clips on Kick). Kick has no download button for VODs. Its help center points to third-party tools for that (How to download your Kick VOD).

Kick’s own income is subscriptions and KICKs. Subs are $5 a month, and you receive 95% of subs and KICKs (Understanding Kick’s revenue split). Kick has no tip page of its own, so for one-time tips you add a tip tool. Options include a KickBot tip page (card payments, TTS and GIFs on stream), Streamlabs tips and PayPal donations through Botrix.

  • KickBot: 6% plus Stripe’s 2.9% + $0.30 per tip, so a $5 tip leaves you $4.25. KickBot pays the $15 dispute fee on chargebacks, and you can reject a tip before the viewer pays.
  • Streamlabs and Botrix: no fee of their own. With PayPal, PayPal’s fees apply: 3.49% + $0.49 per payment for PayPal Checkout in the US, plus 1.50% for viewers in other countries, and you pay PayPal’s dispute fees (PayPal fees). Streamlabs card tips cost 2.9% + $0.30 (Streamlabs Stripe tipping FAQ).

We compare fees and features in How to accept tips and donations on Kick. The full list of income is in How to make money on Kick.

  • Kick analytics. Your Kick Creator Dashboard has Analytics with Overview, Streams and Partnerships pages. Partnerships makes a media kit that you can share with brands (Understanding your streamer analytics).
  • Followers. To see and show your followers, see How to see your Kick followers.
  • Stream Deck. The KickBot plugin for Elgato Stream Deck has buttons for clips, chat modes and TTS. See Stream Deck.
  • AI apps. You can manage KickBot from ChatGPT, Claude and other AI apps. See AI assistants.

If you are new, this setup costs nothing and covers the basics:

  1. OBS Studio to stream, with the settings from Best OBS settings for Kick.
  2. KickBot as a moderator in your channel for commands, timed messages, filters and !clip. Create your account, then see Set up a chat bot on Kick.
  3. A chat overlay and a follower alert from the KickBot widget library.
  4. Kick clips and !clip to collect moments for short videos.

Add TTS, tips, goals and multistreaming later, when you know what your viewers like. Do not use services that sell viewers, followers or chat activity. Kick’s community guidelines prohibit tools that artificially inflate views, followers or interactions.
