Tip queue
The tip queue is where tips wait before they play on your stream. On Tipping > Queue you or your moderators can approve or reject each tip, pause the queue, skip the tip that plays now, and play an old tip again. Keep this page open while you are live, or let a moderator watch it.
Status
Section titled “Status”The top of the page shows two lights:
- Queue: Active means approved tips play one after another. Paused means no tips play until you resume. New tips still come in and wait.
- Widget: Connected means the tip widget is open in OBS. Not open means tips cannot play. Add the widget as a browser source and keep it open while you are live.
Controls
Section titled “Controls”| Control | What it does | Default and limits |
|---|---|---|
| Accept new tips | Turns your tip page on or off. It is the same switch as Enable tips on the tip page. Tips already in the queue still play. | |
| Queue | Pause queue stops playback after the current tip. Resume queue starts it again. | Active |
| Approval | Manual: you approve each tip before it plays. Auto: tips play without approval. | Auto for a new channel |
| Gap between tips | The shortest wait between two tips, in seconds. | 5 s. From 0 to 100 s. |
| Reject all tips | Removes every tip from the queue and cancels the payments. You confirm in a popup. | |

Changes save at once.
Work with the queue
Section titled “Work with the queue”The queue has three columns:
- Needs approval: tips that wait for you in manual mode. Click the check mark to approve a tip, or the cross to reject it. Approve all approves every tip in the column.
- Up next: approved tips in the order they will play. Click the cross to remove a tip.
- Now playing: the tip on stream right now. Click Skip to stop it.
When you reject or remove a tip, an Undo button shows for a few seconds.
Each tip shows the amount, the name (or Anonymous), the message, the TTS voice and when it arrived. Test tips from test mode have a Test badge.
What happens to the money
Section titled “What happens to the money”A viewer’s payment is held at checkout and only collected when the tip starts to play.
| Action | Is the viewer charged? |
|---|---|
| Approve, and the tip plays | Yes. The tip goes to your balance. |
| Reject or remove before it plays | No. The payment is canceled. |
| Skip or reject while it plays | Yes. The payment was already collected when it started. |
| Nobody approves it, or the widget is not open, for 15 minutes | No. The tip expires. |
To give money back after a tip played, use a refund on the Earnings page.
Recent tips and replays
Section titled “Recent tips and replays”
Under the queue, Recent tips lists the most recent tips that played. Click the replay icon (Play again) to put a tip back in the queue. A replay plays the same message and voice again and does not charge the viewer again. All tips in Earnings opens the full list.
Who can use the queue
Section titled “Who can use the queue”Team members with the Tipping moderation permission can approve, reject, skip, pause and change the queue settings. Members who only have Tipping configuration can see the queue but cannot change it. See team.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”Approved tips do not play. Check the status at the top. If Widget says Not open, open the tip widget in OBS. If Queue says Paused, click Resume queue.
Tips disappear from Needs approval. A tip that is not approved within 15 minutes expires, and the viewer is not charged. Switch to Auto if nobody can watch the queue.
Tips play back to back. Raise Gap between tips.
Can my moderators approve tips on Kick?
Yes. Give them the Tipping moderation permission in your KickBot team. They can then open the tip queue and approve, reject or skip tips while you stream.
Does a rejected tip cost the viewer money?
No, if you reject it before it plays. The payment is canceled. A tip that you skip while it plays is already paid.
How long do I have to approve a tip?
15 minutes from when the viewer sent it. After that it expires and nobody is charged.
